Assam: Inquiry into alleged molestation of female jail warder completed in Dhubri

DHUBRI: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons, Gautam Borah, accompanied by other officials from Assam Prison Headquarters in Guwahati, completed investigation of molestation case of a female jail warder on Wednesday

Investigating team arrived in Dhubri on Tuesday to investigate into an alleged molestation case complained by a female jail warder. The team carried extensive investigation into all the allegations including supply of drugs inside jail campus.

Inquiry report, however, couldn’t be known, but sources in police believe that investigation will reveal many things that might go against strict jail manual.

However, complainant female Jail warder conspicuously remained absent from appearing before the inquiry team. Her absence from duty has also been taken seriously by the inquiry team, a source in police said.

DIG Gautam Borah told the media persons here that they had completed the inquiry into allegations and all the findings of the inquiry would be submitted to the higher authority.
