TINSUKIA: Women’s College, Tinsukia made a significant stride in higher education after it became the first Provincialized Undergraduate College of Assam that admitted International Students for the 2025-2026 Academic Session. The ‘Study in India’ portal of the Ministry of Education, Government of India facilitated the admission of international students.
Announcing this great achievement, Dr Mriganko Choudhury, Principal of the College, said in a media briefing on Monday that students from South Korea, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have already completed enrolment and admission formalities that they will join the college from August 1.
While higher institutions like Dibrugarh University, Tezpur University, IIT Guwahati, and NIT Silchar have been admitting International students through the ‘Study in India’ portal, the Women’s College, Tinsukia is the first Undergraduate Provincialized College of Assam to be registered in the portal.
