Assam: Jamugurihat Gears up for 95th Conference of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha

JAMUGURIHAT: The 95th annual conference of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha will be held at Dhalaibil on February 6, 7, and 8 in 2026. All the sub-committees have taken their charges and put their hands and efforts together. The reception committee organized separate meetings with all the 35 sub-committees so far. The preparatory meeting of the cultural sub-committee was held in the namghar premises of Jamuguri regional namghar of the Sangha with Bangshi Bhuyan, President of the sub-committee, in the chair on Sunday. A detailed plan was placed by the sub-committee and a budget was also approved. The meeting was addressed by Dr Sunanda Tamuli, Pradip Ray, Khira Hazarika, Sharanacharya Punaram Gohain, Dlip Bora, Mousumi Kakaty, and Ramen Bora, among others. A series of cultural workshops will be organized in the days to come. All the proceedings were conducted by Mrinal Hazarika, Secretary of the sub-committee.
