DIPHU: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang recently addressed a public interaction program held in Langpher Constituency.
During the event, he acknowledged receiving the memorandums that outlined the needs of the constituency from various areas and assured the public that he would review them carefully. Ronghang expressed his eagerness to work together with the people of Langpher to bring about positive change in the region.
He also thanked the public for their incredible support and trust in him, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in the development process. The open interaction program is part of an initiative by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to bridge the gap between the government and the people.
This initiative involves public meetings, discussions, and feedback sessions to address local concerns and improve communication between the government and the public.
The program, held under the Langpher Constituency, allowed the public to share their concerns and suggestions, creating an opportunity for dialogue and collaboration for the betterment of the region.
During the final session of the 33rd annual conference of the Karbi Lammet Amei (KLA), a major Karbi literary organization, CEM Tuliram Ronghang, announced a Rs 1 crore allocation from the KAAC budget for future KLA conferences, nearly tripling the previous amount.
He also declared Karbi as the official language within the KAAC jurisdiction. The conference honored writer Lunse Timung with the Karbi Lammet Anong’eh award, and the 34th conference was confirmed for 2026 at Bhoksong.
