NAGAON:  Kolong Kapili, a leading private sector aquaculture field school, observed its 16th foundation day on Sunday.

Kolong Kapili has organized a 10-day-long residential training programme for members of farmers producer organizations (FPO) with a focus on community video making aiming to equip registered farmers with ideas, knowledge and skills related to videography particularly emphasizing community oriented content from September 22 to October 1.

Jyotish Talukdar and Binoy Kr Das, Director and Deputy Director of Kolong Kapili respectively, stated that over 1 lakh fish farmers from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh have been benefited through Kolong Kapili and claimed that through CRP and aqua entrepreneurs programmes, they were trying to develop a model across the State.

Jyotish Talukdar urged all the educated youths of the State to take up aquaculture and make the State self-sustainable in the fishery sector. The Director of Kolong-Kapili also offered sincere gratitude to the stakeholders who helped Kalong-Kapili since its beginning.
