Assam: Kyorugi Taekwondo Summer Camp concludes at Haflong

HAFLONG: The 7-day Kyorugi Taekwondo Summer Camp successfully concluded at Haflong on Saturday afternoon. The summer camp was organized by the Dima Hasao Taekwondo Association in collaboration with Mishi Taekwondo Academy, Haflong. On the concluding day, Josringdao Phonglo, Chairman Dima Hasao, Tourism, attended the programme.

35 students from the age group of 4 to 19 years under four categories participated in the said summer camp. The camp was attended by guest instructor Ishat Kumar Hazarika, a national-level taekwondo player.

Taekwondo coach Anuj Hagjer, curator of the summer camp, and GS of Dima Hasao Taekwondo Association, said that the camp was organized in a bid to instil sportsmanship from a tender age and with focus on the upcoming state, national, and international level taekwondo championship.

He also added that Dima Hasao had many aspiring taekwondo champions, who had bagged medals at various levels.
