DHUBRI: A special lecture on ‘Socio-Economic Heritage of Dhubri district of Assam was jointly organized by Dhubri district unit of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti and Dhubri unit of Bharat Vikash Parishad on Sunday. The meeting was conducted by the president of Dhubri district unit of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Dr. Dwipendra Kumar Adhikari accompanied by the Dhubri district unit president of Bharat Vikas Parisad, Prasenjit Roy.
Speaking as the chief speaker renowned numismatist, Shanker Kumar Bose, made an informative deliberation with his research oriented works on ‘Socio-Cultural Heritage of Dhubri District’. Bose also interacted and had an exchange of views with the guests and participants of the meeting.
Khetra Sangathan Mantri of Uttar Purba Bharat, Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana and Head of Sections, IIT, Guwahati, Dr. Shubajit Choudhury also spoke as the guest of honour of the meeting and highlighted and outlined many facts of socio-economic condition of this part of western Assam centre around Dhubri and Gauripur.
Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by the Dhubri district unit president of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Prasenjit Roy while the entire session was anchored by Dhubri district unit Treasurer of Bharat Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Dr. Gopal Burman.
