TEZPUR: In a remarkable effort to instil patriotism and civic responsibility among the youth, the prestigious Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi (LGB) Girls College, Tezpur, hosted the Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojna today. Spearheaded by the Governor of Assam, this initiative underscores the pivotal role of India’s armed forces in safeguarding national integrity and sovereignty.

The event featured insightful sessions led by distinguished veterans, including Lt Col AK Nandi (Retd), Sub Major Probul Gogoi (Retd), and JWO Kulendra Sarmah (Retd), who shared their invaluable experiences and profound dedication to the nation. Over 220 students from Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Girls College, Tezpur, and Tezpur Girls’ High School actively participated in this inspirational programme.

The programme commenced with a comprehensive briefing on the Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojna, emphasizing the indispensable contributions of the armed forces to national unity. The initiative also aligned with the grand vision of ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047,’ inspiring students to embrace their civic duties by respecting and supporting the armed forces. Veterans passionately conveyed the honour and responsibility of serving the nation through the armed forces, urging the youth to channel their energy into community welfare and innovative services that uplift the underprivileged. The programme fostered a profound sense of pride and commitment to nation-building among the attendees.
