Assam Lifts Covid-19 Restriction, Say Thank You to Frontline Workers

GUWAHATI: The Assam government said that obligatory Covid testing at airports, railway stations, and road border crossings will be phased out from February 15.

With the third wave of Covid-19 in Assam nearing its completion, the state administration has agreed to lift all restrictions on February 15, but with a double vaccine rider for board exam students, wedding guests, public meeting participants, and moviegoers.

Doctors, nurses, community health workers, sanitation workers, police, volunteers, ambulance drivers, and many more healthcare and frontline workers in India bravely stood with the government during the country's crisis.

Covid-19 had an impact on communities throughout the world, and more people were banding together to support one another than ever before. Many of those on the front lines need to be recognized and honoured. It's time to express gratitude to all coronavirus volunteers.

We've all relied on community volunteers to keep us safe and meet our basic necessities. The work they undertake has always been important, but COVID-19 has made it more challenging. Find out how community workers, from health care providers to food delivery persons, have had to adjust to new circumstances in order to accomplish their jobs during the pandemic—and why we owe them our thanks.

Drumming utensils and gongs can be used to raise the mood of medical professionals. Clanging sounds may be heard across the country for many minutes. Indian politicians join this back in the first breakdown of Corona.

Women make up around 70% of the workforce in the health care industry. The system is based on the systematic exploitation of women's labour, which is devalued and underpaid. This is not what they deserve. They deserve appreciation.

Ways to say "Thank you":

"Thank you so much," "You make a difference in my life," is a powerful statement and all that is required.

  1. Download, print, and display the "Thank you to the Helpers" sign below in the window of your house, company or car to show your gratitude.
  2. Donations are accepted and will be used to purchase protective gear and life-saving medical equipment. All donations will be matched by generous benefactors.
  3. Teams from every department in the system are working nonstop to care for our community. Staying healthy is the best thing you can do to aid them!
  4. Every day, employees who keep grocery, convenience, and drugstore businesses open see big crowds of people. When you have to shop at one of these establishments, be kind to the employees. Please express your gratitude to them.
  5. Express your gratitude in whatever way you can, whether it's a Google review or a tweet. You may write an article for your local newspaper or share a photo on Instagram.
