Assam: Locals Recover Human Skeleton In Digboi's Golai No.3

The locals claimed that the skeleton allegedly belonged to one Nitul Rajbongshi who had gone missing while collecting firewood in July.

Digboi: In a sensational incident, a human skeleton was recovered from a forest near Golai No. 3 which falls under Digboi police station on Monday morning.

The human skeleton has been sent for an autopsy by the Digboi police.

As per sources, the skeleton was first spotted by a few locals who later informed the police. The skeleton was in the bushes of the jungle and is said to be of a male. 

It has not been clear if the male had committed suicide, died of an illness or was murdered.

The villagers suspect that the skeleton belongs to one Nitul Rajbongshi who was forty years old. In the month of July, Nitul has gone missing while collecting firewood in the forest area.

In other news, a man by the name Prafulla Bora had killed his acquaintance in Sonapur and was later arrested by Sonapur police.

The accused Prafulla Bora had refused to admit to killing Ramen Kathar at first but after a thorough examination confessed and led the police to the dead body.

It was revealed during the preliminary enquiry that the two persons were acquainted with each other. The victim has gone to the house of the accused in the late evening of Saturday and found it locked. However, the victim Ramen Kathar was somehow able to open the door and entered Bora's house without permission. On finding Kather in his house upon his return, the two engaged in a heated argument which let Bora hitting the other with a dao, thus killing him.
