Assam: Man electrocuted to death in Nalbari

NALBARI: A tragic incident in front of the Sanskrit University at Namat in Nalbari has created shock and concern in the area after a person named Banjit Kalita reportedly died of electrocution. According to information available, frequent incidents of cattle theft in the area had caused concern among locals. In an attempt to protect his cattle from thieves, Banjit Kalita had reportedly installed an electric connection around his residence. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, Kalita himself came into contact with the electrified wire and suffered an electric shock. Despite efforts to rescue him, he reportedly died in the incident. The incident has raised concerns over the risks associated with unauthorised or exposed electrical connections used for security purposes.
