GOLAGHAT: A tragic incident took place where a man lost his life on Friday evening as he was run over by a vehicle and dragged for almost five kilometers near the Saror Gaon area of Golaghat in Assam. Tutu Saikia was the one who died. The locals were left shocked following the incident.

The police initiated an investigation but so far, they have not yet been able to identify the car. The authorities are tracing the driver and are trying to get to know all the details about this tragedy.

Meanwhile, an accident in North Guwahati claimed the life of 16-year-old girl, Angkita Kalita who had died in an e-rickshaw mishap. She hailed from Pandu Station Colony in Guwahati and was traveling when the e-rickshaw suddenly overturned.

The accident had caused terrible injury, and Kalita also died shortly after the incident. The community is in a state of shock, and there is increasing concern over the safety with which e-rickshaw operations are being carried on in the area.

Both accidents imply that there are persistent road safety and vehicle regulation issues within the area. The local authority has appealed to the drivers, asking them to be extra careful and ensure their cars are in good condition to avert such incidences going forward. Investigations into the two cases are still undergoing.
