Assam: Man Murders Aunt, Conceals Body In Septic Tank In Gohpur
Gohpur: The state of Assam has witnessed a sporadic surge of violent crimes and it has instilled fear in the minds of the people. These terrible incidents have left the people across the state shell-shocked of late.
A brutal murder has been reported in Gohpur area of Biswanath district wherein a man ruthlessly bashed up his aunt with iron which eventually ended up taking her life.
The accused has been identified as Dhiren Tamoria and he later concealed the body of the deceased inside a septic tank.
Dhiren tried to cover up the incident but his efforts went in vain after the intervention of locals and police officials, who managed to recover the dead body. The Assam Police is rigorously interrogating the culprit.
It is to be noted that Tamoria already has a criminal background. He was earlier taken into custody for his alleged involvement in other offences such as theft, abduction, and murder, among others.
Meanwhile, in yet another horrific incident, a man had allegedly slid the throat of a shopkeeper over a fight for Rs. 100 in Sonapur under the Kamrup Metropolitan district
As per reports, the accused had been identified as Samad Ali, a fish farmer, and his son allegedly stole Rs. 100 from the shop of Ramjan Ali.
The shopkeeper informed about the incident to Samad Ali the following day, after which a tussle erupted between the two.
The scuffle further escalated so much so that Samad allegedly attacked Ramjan with a sharp machete on his neck. Ramjan reportedly lost his life on the spot.
Surprisingly, Samad walked into a police station with blood-soaked clothes and surrendered himself before the police.
