MANGALDAI: Mangaldai Commerce College, a premier higher educational institute for commerce in Darrang district, extending their solidarity with the rural populace, organized a health camp on June 1 at Gadhiapara village, on the outskirts of the district headquarters town. The health camp, arranged with the humble initiative to provide medical service and essential health screening, witnessed an overwhelming response from all sections of the villagers who availed the benefit of free medical advice and medicine during the camp.
“The medical camp is a small part of institutional social responsibility of the college and we promise to organize such programmes in near future for the greater interest of the community,” said Principal of Mangaldai Commerce College Ranjit Sarma in the inaugural address. Dr Inamul Haque, Medical & Health Officer, Ramhari SHC, and Dr Upasana Saikia, Medical Officer, Urban Health Center, advised the people on various aspects of good health. They briefed on the importance of a healthy lifestyle by ensuring proper hydration, hygiene, balanced diet, adequate sleep, and daily exercise.
