Assam: Minister of Welfare of Bodoland Urkhao Brahma Reviews PWD and Social Welfare Projects in Baksa

BAKSA: Minister of Welfare of Bodoland, Urkhao Gwra Brahma chaired a review meeting in Baksa to assess the progress of various Public Works Department (PWD) and Social Welfare projects. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Baksa Gautam Das, ACS and Member of Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA) Mantu Baro.

The main discussions were about finishing road projects on time and setting up Model Anganwadi Centres to help the community. The minister stressed the need for efficient work so that these development projects can benefit local people.

Meanwhile, earlier last month, a district-level health review meeting had been convened at the Sukafa Conference Hall of the Sivasagar District Commissioner’s office on January 31. The meeting was led by District Commissioner Aayush Garg and focused on reviewing the current healthcare situation in the district.

Additional District Commissioner (Health) Meenakshi Permey had extended a warm welcome to all attendees and had elaborated on the key objectives of the meeting. She had emphasized the importance of regular reviews in ensuring effective healthcare service delivery and identifying areas that required improvement. 

The meeting was led by Dr. Makhan Kalita, Joint Director of Health Services, who gave a detailed summary of the district's health situation. He talked about important health topics such as maternal and child health, vaccination rates, disease control programs, and improvements in healthcare facilities.
