Assam: Minor Girl Molested Inside Veterinary Clinic in Behali

Guwahati: A minor girl was allegedly dragged and then molested inside a closed veterinary clinic in Assam's Behali area on 9 February in a gruesome incident.

The family of the victim has filed an FIR against the accused. The accused has been identified as Arjun Sahani.

This horrific incident unravelled when the girl went outside for shopping near her house and the accused dragged her to the clinic and allegedly molested her while she was on her way back.

Her family members were very worried as the girl did not return home from shopping despite the fact that her house was located nearby. As a result, her family members went out in search of her.

The victim's parents found her inside the clinic but the accused managed to vanish before they could get hold of him.

Earlier, a rape accused from Assam, who remained to abscond for some time, has been arrested by the Maharashtra police from Hailakandi.

Acting on a tip-off a team of the Mumbai Crime branch arrived at Hailakandi to nab the heinous crime accused. The local police picked up the accused and handed over him to the investigating Mumbai police team.

The accused has been identified as one Sajjid Ahmed Mazumdar from Dhanipur under the Lala Police Station, Hailakandi.
