Assam MLAs on scheme inauguration spree

TINSUKIA: A day before the declaration of dates of panchyat election and model code of conduct came into force, there was a mad rush for MLA s across Assam to inaugurate various schemes with Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma topping the list. He inaugurated as many as 29 schemes in a single day amounting to Rs 30 crore while Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kishan inaugurated a 30-bedded model hospital at Mahkhuli under Bordubi PS, the construction of which started in 2013 and was completed in 2016.

The Margherita MLA laid the foundation stone of 29 roads in his constituency under State own priority development (SOPD) schemes for the year 2018-19. The roads against which the foundation stones were laid are B K Chetia Path, Segunbari TE Road, Margherita College Road, RT Colony to Thana Road,Dirak TE Road, Powai TE Road, MargheritaTE Road, Namdang TE Road, Pengaree-Philobari Road, Litong Tinali to Talpothar and Nogapothar Path.
