Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a mobile store in Biswanath Chariali in Assam had allegedly kicked out a Muslim woman for wearing jeans instead of burqa.

The store belonged to one Nurul Amin where the Muslim woman had gone to buy earphones.

The woman was allegedly 'insulted' for wearing jeans although she belonged to a Muslim family by the store owner Nurul Amin. This store is located near the daily bazar in Biswanath's 12 no ward and sells mobile accessories.

According to the locals, this was not the first time that Nurul Amin had commented on a girl's outfit and has a record of insulting girls for not wearing a burqa.

The father of the woman who was kicked out immediately reached the mobile store to defend his daughter and object the actions of the store owner.

However, things took a bad turn when the woman's father was manhandled by Nurul Amin's son. It has been reported that Nurul Amin is a resident of Nagaon and is staying at a rented accommodation in Biswanath.

The police have registered a case against Nurul Amin and his son and have also detained the two.
