Morigaon: The Morigaon District Administration, in collaboration with the Morigaon Joint Director of Health Office, aimed to immunize 149,606 children below five years against polio, with the campaign commencing from Sunday in the premises of the Ji. Director of Health Office, Morigaon. With the launching of the Sub-National Immunization Day, the Jt. Director of Health Office, Morigaon, has started a campaign to vaccinate over 149,606 children against polio in the district. The Additional District Commissioner, Anusuya Sharma (Health), inaugurated the campaign in the presence of Jt. Director of Health Dr. Arun Nath, Addl. CM & HO Dr. Tapan Kr. Saikia, District Imminization Officer Dr. Niranjan Konwar, DFPC-Baharul Ulum Chowdhary, and Naba Kr. Medhi (Computor). The health department has organized total of 905 polio booths across the district. The programme will be staffed by a total of 3585 booth workers for conducting the campaigns.
