Assam: Nagaon girl bags first prize in national level drama and dance competition in Cuttack

NAGAON: Parinita Bora, a student of Swarna Hazarika Memorial Florence Academy, has won the first prize in the Sattriya dance competition held at the national-level drama and dance competition organized by Theatre Movement of India at Kala Vikash Kendra in Cuttack, Odisha.

      Parinita, daughter of Mithu Pratim Bora and Basanti Devnath, a resident of Teliagaon in Puranigudam, also won the second prize in the modern dance competition and the second best child actress award in the drama competition.

      The drama "Dhet Ki Khel Khel," penned by Krishan Bhuyan and directed by Diplu Hazarika, won the best children drama award, while Diplu Hazarika was conferred with the Natya Shree award. Dhiraj Jyoti Gohain, a student of Shankardev Vidyaniketan, won the second best actor award.

      The drama, which participated in the national-level competition, won several awards, including the best costume design award.
