Goreswar: Assam Science Society Goreswar unit and Aryabhatta Science Centre, Goreswar Section jointly organized National Science Day at Goreswar Girls High School on Friday with a day-long programme as per the directives of Assam Science Technology and Climate Change Department.
The school’s principal, Mintul Ali, planted trees in the premises of the school following the flag hoisting by the president of the Goreswar unit of the Assam Science Society, Nirmal Debanath.
A quiz competition among the students was conducted by teachers Biplab Nath and Shaya Boro. This was followed by a seminar on ‘Empowerment of Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for a Developed India.’
The seminar was started with a modern song performed by Archana Kalita and was inaugurated by the Principal of Goreswar Higher Secondary School Biswajit Deka. The seminar was attended by Vijay Dahal, Science Teacher, Naokata Milan Girls High School, who spoke on how positive innovative thinking can achieve the welfare of oneself and the country.
Besides, the seminar was attended by Principal of Naokata Milan Girls High School Jitesh Biswas who also spoke about science and innovation.
Prizes were awarded to the winners of the quiz competition in the seminar.
