The formal executive meeting of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS) after long spells of lockdown due to the pandemic
JAMUGURIHAT: The formal executive meeting of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS) after long spells of lockdown due to the pandemic caused by the deadly virus was held in Agni Kabi Kamalakanta Bhattacharya auditorium of Biswanath College with Durga Khatiora, president of ANSS in the chair on Sunday.
Notably, it was the second executive meeting after its formation in the month of February this year. The daylong programme began with hoisting of an institutional flag followed by observation of one-minute silence in memory of the deceased of Nimatighat tragedy and some of the office bearers of ANSS who died recently. After that president Durga Khatiora conducted the oath taking ceremony for newly elected state executive members, nominated members and office bearers. Many resolutions were taken to smoother the functioning of the literary organizations. All the proceedings of the meeting were carried out by Madan Thapa, assistant secretary of ANSS.
