Assam: Newborn’s Body Found Abandoned In Cachar, Attacked By Stray Dogs

SILCHAR: Residents of Khulicherra village in Cachar, Assam, were shocked when the body of a newborn was found in a forested area on Saturday night. The baby’s body had been partially eaten by stray dogs. Pedestrians passing by made the grim discovery and were horrified to see the dogs feeding on the remains.

The newborn’s body was found near the roadside in a remote forest area. When locals saw the dogs attacking the body, they quickly went to the spot and recovered what was left. Unfortunately, most of the body had already been eaten by the stray dogs. The disturbing scene spread fast in the village, leaving people shocked and angry.

An elderly local who witnessed the scene said, “I saw dogs barking around in the area, and when I approached closer, I was shocked to see human body parts being fed on by the dogs. I shooed them away and later found this newborn dumped there.” Another resident expressed their disgust, saying, “The one who did this act is absolutely inhuman. Who dumps such a small, helpless life like this?”

The police came soon after they were told about the incident and found the baby’s body. It has been sent for a medical check-up to find out how the baby died and to investigate more about the situation. While the reason for this cruel act is not known, some local people think an unmarried mother might have abandoned the baby to hide her pregnancy.

The shocking discovery has caused a lot of anger in the village, with people demanding that those responsible be severely punished. The authorities are looking into it, and more updates will come soon.
