Assam: Nine injured in bus-dumper collision in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: In a road accident, at least nine people were injured after a bus and a dumper collided head-on in Sivasagar on Sunday. The accident occurred at Cherekapar near Shaniboria Bazar on BG Road between a dumper bearing registration number AS-04BC-0798 and an ASTC bus contracted by ONGC bearing registration number AS20-2171.

According to locals, the bus was carrying ONGC employees from Sivasagar control room and was heading towards Geleky when the accident took place on Sunday morning. All the nine injured were rushed to ONGC hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, locals informed that the driver of the bus was identified as Dipen Bharali of Demow and he sustained severe injuries.
