TINSUKIA: In a vibrant blend of festivity and social responsibility, NSS volunteers in Tinsukia took to the streets with the message of cleanliness through a special rally titled ‘Holi ke Rang, Swacchata ke Sang.’ The initiative aimed to spread awareness about hygiene and environmental cleanliness ahead of the Holi festival.

With colorful banners, slogans, and enthusiastic participation, the rally attracted attention across the town as the volunteers emphasized the importance of keeping surroundings clean while celebrating festivals. The rally passed through key areas of Tinsukia, urging citizens to adopt eco-friendly practices and avoid littering during Holi celebrations.

“This rally is a reminder that while we enjoy the colors of Holi, we must also commit to keeping our environment clean. It’s a small step toward a bigger change,” said one of the NSS coordinators.

Meanwhile, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam on the joyous occasion of Holi.

In a statement, Governor Acharya said, “I convey my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion of Holi, the festival of colors. May this festival bring peace, harmony, prosperity, and happiness to all.”

He further stated, “Let the festival fortify our harmonious co-existence and motivate us to work for a common cause that is the development of the state. I hope the festival becomes a harbinger of joy, happiness, and merriment for all.”
