Assam: Oil India Limited Employee Dies At Kathalani Gas Compressor Station

Guwahati: An employee of the Oil India Limited (OIL) died while working at Kathalani Gas Compressor Station (GCS) on Thursday morning.

The deceased employee named Bikash Gogoi was working in the Kothaloni GCS at the Tengakhat Oil Field.

According to the reports, he was severely injured after falling down in the bathroom, at the work site. Although, he was taken to a hospital in Dibrugarh, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

It was found that Bikash Gogoi was a resident of house no. 357 of sector A, in the employees' residential area.

Recently, on June 5, an engineer of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) named Saurabh Jyoti Pathak lost his life in an accident.

The accident took place at one of ONGC's drilling sites in the Kalapani area in the Jorhat district.

Following the accident, the engineer suffered a head injury and was immediately rushed to Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH), however, upon reaching, he was declared brought dead.
