GOALPARA : A tragic incident took place on Monday in Assam's Goalpara district. Five people got injured while one died on spot. The episode occurred when a four-wheeler crashed into an electric rickshaw at Dabli near Dudhnoi in Goalpara district. According to the reports, a car had rammed the e-rickshaw with passengers in it as it approached an elevated speed breaker, causing the accident.
One women identified as Shilpashri Das, a resident of Krishnai, died on spot. Five people were severely injured and four of them were from the same family. The local police rushed to the spot and sent the injured people to the nearest hospital. While the body of the deceased was sent for post mortem. Several such road accidents occurred recently in Dudhnoi area of Goalpara district.
Multiple road accidents were witnessed on 8th November in Goalpara. The first incident took place in Darrang when a vehicle collided with a bike at a high speed. Two people were killed on spot near a petrol pump. Meanwhile, one person failed to fight his injury and died at a nearby hospital. The deceased were identified as Abani Bodo, Jitul Rabha and Manab Bodo. According to the sources, the trio was returning back from Raas Festival at Dudhnoi.
Another incident took place on the same day, when a four-wheeler collided with a bike. The two people in the bike were brutally injured and were rushed to the nearest hospital by the local police. However, one of them succumbed to his injuries. Ironically, both these individuals were also returning from Raas festival in Dudhnoi.
On 4th November, a man died when a truck rammed a van with passengers in it. The driver in the van succumbed to his injury while the handyman was injured. The incident took place in front of the Rangjuli Hospital in Goalpara District and the deceased was identified as Rahim Khan.
