Assam: Owner Of A Brick Kiln Murdered In Nagaon

GUWAHATI : A gruesome episode came to light on Monday, where an owner of a brick kiln has been murdered by some unidentified miscreant. The incident took place in Assam's Nagaon district. 

As per the reports, the murder occurred at the Roumari village located near Hatipara of the district on 22nd of January, Sunday. Reportedly, few miscreants broke into his home and knocked him down with some sort of sharp weapons. 

The deceased victim has been identified as Mujibur Rahman. He was owned a brick kiln in the region. Nagaon police revealed that Mujibur was also engaged as a teacher in a government high school in the locality. 

The actual cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained by the police, along with identification of the unknown culprits. However, an investigation has been launched regarding the matter and the hunt for the killers is on.

Assam has registered numerous murder cases in 2022 as well. In December, a woman identified as Aleya Khatun, was found hanging inside her house. The episode took place in Dhubri district's Bogulamori. The case took a more intense turn after the deceased's family alleged that her husband initiated the murder with full fledged plan.

The family members also lodged a complaint against the husband, who has been identified as Amir Ali. A similar case was registered from the same district in the month of November. A teenager was found hanging in Dhubri's Beltoli in Bilasipara region.

The boy was spotted at the unfortunate and mysterious incident inside his rented room. The locals nearby asserted that, it was a case of murder and not suicide. They further informed the police that, the rented space where the boy was living carried on certain unsocial events.

The owner of the place was identified as Vedu Sheikh. The local people alleged that, the deceased must have witnessed something illegal due to which he was murdered by them and hanged him in his own room.

The concerned police department along with the magistrate arrived at the spot of incident and initiated a probe into the matter.
