Silchar: To ensure a smooth and transparent Panchayat Election, the Cachar District Commissioner Mridul Yadav chaired a high-level meeting on Saturday with representatives of all political parties of the district. The meeting was convened to finalize the polling stations across the district, based on detailed reports submitted by the sector officers.

The discussion underscored the administration’s commitment to upholding electoral integrity and inclusivity by incorporating the perspectives of all political stakeholders in the district. Yadav emphasized the importance of logistical preparedness, accessibility, and fairness in the selection of polling stations to ensure maximum voter convenience and participation.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key district officials, including District Development Commissioner,  Norsing Bey, Additional District Commissioner, Van Lal Limpuiya Nampui, ; Co-District Commissioner of Lakhipur Sub-Division,  Dhrubajyoti Pathak,  and Election Officer, Masi Topno. Their insights and technical guidance enriched the discussions, paving the way for a more robust and inclusive electoral framework for the upcoming Panchayat polls.
