JAMUGURIHAT: Patolor Chuk village is one of the ancient villages of the greater Jamugurihat area. “Boka Khesa Bhaona” (mud bhaona) is held in this village every year with pom and grandeur. Thousands of devotees from far and wide visit this site to witness the religious and traditional custom of “Boka Khesa Bhaona”. The ‘Singhasan pratistha’ (religious throne foundation) programme of Patolor Chuk village was held with a two-day programme. As a part of the first day programme Naduar MLA Padma Hazarika attended the event and unveiled a souvenir ‘Patolorgiri’ published by the VDC. The Singhasan was founded amid religious rites and tradition. The first day programme began with pratah prasanga followed by nam prasanga. Prahlad Charitra bhaona was staged on Saturday. The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday, informed Soneswar Bhuyan and Tulshi Bhuyan, president and secretary of Patolor Chuk VDC.
