Assam: ‘Pilot Jalshala’ under Jal Jeevan Mission inaugurated in Nalbari district

NALBARI: ‘Pilot Jalshala’, a programme under Jal Jeevan Mission, for Nalbari district has started on Tuesday. This Jalshala was organised for two days on Tuesday at Anandaram Baruah HS School. 40 students from class IX and XI mapped under 8 completed PWS scheme of PHE Nalbari and Belsor Division took part. Nalbari DC Varnali Deka, ADC Chayanika Thakuriya and other district level officials including IS, Nalbari, DEEO, Nalbari EE(PHE), Animesh Das and many dignitaries along with all Block level Master trainers of Jaldoot programme were present in the programme. During this training, students were trained on safe drinking water, water conservation, judicial use of water, various aspects of JJM, water quality, community mobilization, etc. There will have a field visit at nearby PWSS & will be able to gather knowledge on various components of PWSS.
