Assam: Police Arrest Youth For Allegedly Raping Minor Girl In Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Police have arrested a youth over the charges of raping a minor girl in Assam's Kokrajhar district.

The accused identified as Amir Hajma is a resident of Salakati Bazar Majidpara in Kokrajhar.

As per reports, the accused befriended the minor girl who belonged to a tribal community and allegedly raped her.

The reports also claimed that he didn't stop here and a going a step ahead, he also clicked the photographs of the incident and made it viral.

The matter came to light after some people saw these photographs and informed the family members of the victim about the incident.

In this regard, a case has been registered at the Kokrajhar Police Station under the relevant sections of cybercrime and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) act.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
