Assam: Police Nab Two Drug Peddlers in Joint Operation in Sootea

JAMUGURIHAT: Based a secret input, a joint team of Biswanath and Sootea Police headed by ASP (Crime), Biswanath, and Trilochan Das, Officer In-Charge of Sootea PS, managed to nab two drug peddlers at Sootea on Tuesday and recovered 60.56 grams of heroin along with 43 containers. According to information, two drug peddlers, identified as Jamir Ali (34 years), son of Abdul Barek of Rowmari, Borghat, and Ikramul Hussain (32 years), son of Abdul Karim, Khanamukh under Chariduar PS, were heading towards Sootea in a tempo bearing registration number AS12CC1410 on Tuesday afternoon. The police team stopped the vehicle, recovered the drugs, and caught the duo at Potiya Gaon Tiniali. Police investigation is on.
