MANGALDAI: A training programme on "New Criminal Laws" was held today for the UB/AB personnel of Darrang DEF, Kamrup DEF, and Nalbari DEF at the Police Reserve in Darrang, Mangaldai. The session focused on educating the personnel about the latest updates and changes in criminal laws.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of law enforcement officers to ensure better implementation of the law in their respective areas. The training was attended by officers from the three districts and is part of ongoing efforts to improve police efficiency and legal awareness.

In a similar effort to update police personnel on law enforcement, Sribhumi Police recently held a workshop for its officers and personnel to familiarize them with the newly introduced criminal laws: BNS, BNSS, and BSA 2023. The session aimed to enhance their understanding of the updated legal framework.

Following the workshop, a written test was conducted to assess their knowledge of these laws. This initiative is part of the police department's ongoing efforts to ensure its personnel are well-informed about the latest legal procedures and reforms.

Last year, a workshop on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ was held for police officials in Morigaon district as part of a 100-day campaign by Sankalp: District Hub for Empowerment of Women. The session focused on improving the sex ratio, combating gender discrimination, and addressing issues related to women and children. It was led by Binita Bez, Senior Supervisor, and facilitated by Hemanta Kr Das, Superintendent of Police, along with other officials.
