Assam Police seized drugs worth Rs 50 lakh in Nagaon

NAGAON: Acting on a tip-off, Nagaon police searched a Dimapur-bound vehicle in the heart of the town and recovered huge quantity of heroin hidden inside bathing soap packets.

Police arrested one Abdul Kadir from the vehicle. Kadir's associate Abdul Kasem is absconding. According to police report, the seized drugs is worth Rs 50 lakh and were being taken to Nagaland.
