An SP rank officer of Assam Police as well as 30 other ranked officers tested COVID-19 positive on June 27.
It was confirmed by additional director general of police (ADGP) GP Singh on Twitter.
Singh in his tweet also informed that the infected cops are in good health and wished them a full recovery.

It has been reported that Assam has registered 246 COVID cases on Saturday, June 27, taking the tally to 7,165, out of which 4,814 have been discharged.
Amid a surge in positive Covid19 cases across Assam, a Total Lockdown will be clamped in Assam's Kamrup district from Sunday midnight, June 28 for 14 days.
Besides, random checking of swab samples has also been started in Guwahati to arrest the spread of the virus.
