Assam Polls: Bike rallies prohibited by Election Commission of India

GOLAGHAT: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has decided that bike rallies should not be allowed at any place 72 hours before the date of poll and on the poll day in all poll going constituencies.

With a view to prevent anti-social elements from intimidating the voters before the poll day and on poll day in the first phase of general election to be held on March 27, the Golaghat district administration has declared that bike rallies will not be allowed from Wednesday at 7 am at any place 72 hours before the date of poll.
