Assam Pradesh Yuva Congress Committee (APYCC) executive meet held in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: An executive meet of the Assam Pradesh Yuva Congress Committee (APYCC) was held in Lakhimpur on Thursday. The programme was kicked off with the unfurling of organizational flag by APYCC president Kamarul Hussain at North Lakhimpur Rajiv Bhawan. Then the organization took out a peace rally in the town in connection with the 35th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which is observed as National Unity Day.

Following the programme, the executive meet began with the APYCC president Kamarul Hussain in the chair in the presence of in-charge Dr. Smurti Ranjan Lenka. In the meet, the organization held detailed discussion over its organizational strength, member inclusion drive along with unemployment problem of the State, big river dam issue and communal politics.

The organization took resolution to initiate protest programmes across the State to demand resolution of growing unemployment problem causing threat to the economy. APYCC media cell co-ordinator informed that resolutions were further taken in order to initiate awareness programmes against big river dam issue, communal politics and many other sensitive issues.
