Assam Regiment distributed food Relief among homeless families in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: As a laudable gesture, the Rupai-based 14 Assam Regiment distributed food relief to 20 flood-affected homeless families at Kordoiguri under Doomdooma circle in Tinsukia district on Tuesday.

Following outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent lockdown, these families numbering around 100, who are mostly daily wage earners, have been leading a miserable life. Led by CO Col Sandeep Dogra, the distribution programme was assisted by the activists All Moran Students' Union and Asom Moran Sabha.
