Assam: Republic Day preparation in Margherita

TINSUKIA: The Margherita sub-division in Tinsukia district is gearing up to observe the forthcoming Republic Day in a befitting manner. In this regard a public meeting was held with Preeti Kumari, ADC , Margherita sub district in the chair at the conference hall of Margherita Block Development Office on Friday.

The ADC, instructed the police officials to tighten the security arrangements prior to the Republic Day celebration to avoid any security breach. Responsibilities and duties were allocated among different departments and organisations to make the event a successful one. The meeting was attended by officials of all government departments, urban local body, Coal India Ltd., Tea Garden Management, media persons, senior and leading citizens and social workers.
