Assam Rifles conducts awareness on coronavirus, health, and dietetics in Tezpur

Tezpur: An awareness lecture on coronavirus and health and dietetics was organized at Lokra in Sonitpur district.

In a series of activities carried out which commenced with an awareness lecture on coronavirus wherein jawans and their families along with civilians from Lokra were informed about the symptoms and causes of the spread of this deadly virus and precautions to be taken.

The lecture was followed with another lecture on health and dietetics by a team from the Nutrition Health Wellness Centre, Guwahati to spread awareness on various lifestyle diseases, the importance of nutrients and exercises.

As part of the event, free health check-up was also conducted for 156 participants which generated an overwhelming repose amongst them.

The event offered a platform for the unit families, jawans and civilians to know more about coronavirus, lifestyle diseases, and their prevention. All the attendees expressed profound gratitude for undertaking such an initiative and appreciated the continuous efforts and commitments of Assam Rifles in reaching out to the local populace.
