Assam Rifles jawan kills wife & daughter, arrested at Srikona Camp

SILCHAR: In a gruesome incident, a Assam Rifles jawan had killed his wife and their 11 year old daughter at Srikona Camp on Saturday. Local police had arrested the jawan Rabindra Kumar, a resident of Jammu. Kumar had confessed to the crime. A dagger was recovered from the site of the crime. Kumar reportedly confessed that he had killed his wife and daughter due to internal family tension. However details of the motive for dual murder were yet to be ascertained.

Sources said, on Saturday morning locals of Srikona Assam Rifles Camp spotted the body of a woman lying on the ground. Later the body of the girl was found nearby. Throats of the 30 year old lady and the girl were slit. Being informed police swung into action and after a chase could detain Kumar who fled away from the camp.
