GUWAHATI: As the 71st B.N. Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship neared its conclusion, both the men's and women's teams played in exhilarating games.

The Synthetic Turf Field at TRC Srinagar hosted the Women's Championship Final, with ADGP Kashmir serving as the honorary chief guest.

On March 20, 2023, at 1:20 p.m., Mizoram Police and Assam Rifles played in the championship match at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar. ADGP Kashmir spoke with players from both sides and complimented them on their outstanding competition efforts.

He praised all of the women's teams that competed in the championship for showing bravery and showcasing their talents, which inspired the valley's local kids. He also commended the J&K Police Women's Football Team for encouraging neighbourhood women to participate in sports.

Addressing the audience at the event, ADGP Kashmir stated that the major goal of such activities is to encourage kids to participate in sports and to steer them away from any behaviors that are detrimental to both themselves and society.

Assam Rifles and SSB participated in the women's football final at the synthetic turf TRC Field. A massive gathering of fans cheered on their preferred sides while taking in the tantalizing game.

While their favorite sides attempted to dominate the opposing side, the crowd went through some anxious moments. The Assam Rifles ultimately won the title by a margin of 3:1 after the SSB women's team tried a variety of tactics but was unable to breach the Assam Rifles' defence.

Before the championship game, the CRPF women's team defeated the Odisha women's team 2:0 in a match for third place.

Assam Rifles vs. Kerala Police at Kashmir University Ground and Mizoram Police vs. Punjab Police at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar were the two semi-final matches in the men's competition.

Assam Rifles and Kerala Police's match was hotly contested because neither team had an easy path to the championship. They overcame the difficulties thanks to their tenacity and spirit of resistance, and they competed for honour in this contest.

Assam Rifles defeated Kerala Police 3:0 to advance to the Men's Championship Final. The Mizoram Police and Punjab Police semi-final match at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar saw spectacular performances from both teams.

To defeat the other squad and go to the final, both teams gave it their all. But Mizoram Police triumphed by a slim 2:1 margin and advanced to the championship final.
