As part of its ongoing National Integration Tour, Assam Rifles is providing a unique platform for the youth of Manipur to experience India’s diverse cultural and historical heritage. The tour, which began on 8 January, is scheduled to conclude on 16 January 2025. Participants visited Hyderabad where they explored several iconic landmarks on the third day.

The group was taken to Charminar, where they admired its impressive architecture and rich historical significance. They then proceeded to the Salar Jung Museum, which boasts a remarkable collection of art, antiques, and historical artifacts, providing participants with a deeper understanding of India’s artistic and cultural heritage.

The group then visited the Birla Science Museum, where they explored interactive exhibits that expanded their knowledge across various scientific disciplines. In the later part of the day, the group enjoyed a tranquil visit to the Birla Temple, taking in the temple's detailed architecture and serene atmosphere.

The day concluded with a visit to a mall, providing a stark contrast to the cultural experiences earlier, giving the youth a glimpse of modern urban life in India. The tour then moved to Visakhapatnam, where the participants are set to explore more aspects of India’s diverse cultural landscape.

The National Integration Tour is a pivotal initiative by Assam Rifles aimed at fostering national cohesion, pride, and unity among the youth of Manipur through exposure to India’s cultural, historical, and technological diversity.

Assam Rifles honored Martyr Lance Naik Kameshwar Ram with a wreath-laying ceremony at its Battalion Headquarters in Tengnoupal District. The ceremony, honoring the soldier's bravery during Operation Rakshak in 1997, witnessed the participation of officers, junior commissioned officers (JCOs), and jawans. L/NK Kameshwar Ram displayed extraordinary valor in Srinagar.

As part of Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles organized a medical camp in Serou Village, Kakching District, offering free medical check-ups and treatments to local residents. A total of 162 individuals, including men, women, and children, received medical examinations, treatments, and referrals for further care.

Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Manvata Charitable Foundation, distributed blankets to elderly tribals in Machi village to provide warmth during the winter. The distribution, which benefitted approximately 100 villagers, was warmly received by the community.

Assam Rifles conducted an awareness session at Assam Rifles Public School in Mantripukhri Garrison to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The session, attended by 35 students, focused on the harmful effects of substance abuse on both health and society. It also highlighted the growing concerns of illicit trafficking, encouraging the youth to actively participate in addressing these issues.

The 19th edition of the Lt Col Rajeev Bakhshi Memorial Football Tournament kicked off at Mini Stadium, Parbung, drawing over 500 spectators. A total of 16 teams from Pherzawl, Churachandpur, and Mizoram are participating in the tournament, which honors Lt Col Rajeev Bakhshi, who laid down his life while combating insurgents in Manipur in 2006.
