Assam Rifles provides amenities to orphanage in Ketekibari under Sonitpur district
Lokra Battalion under the aegis of 21 sector headquarters of Assam Rifles and headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential items to an orphanage

JAMUGURIHAT: Lokra Battalion under the aegis of 21 sector headquarters of Assam Rifles and headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) distributed essential items to an orphanage at Naba Prabhat Academy in Ketekibari under Sonitpur district on Tuesday, stated a press release. The aim of the project was to support the children and administration of the orphanage in day-to-day functioning. The basic amenities also included items for assisting the orphanage in providing better education to the children & promote improvement of functional literacy in the community. The troops of Lokra Battalion also interacted with the students and locals and motivated them to be responsible citizens of the country. The children were also motivated to join the Armed Forces. This initiative taken by troops of Lokra Battalion was highly appreciated by the children and administration of Nabha Prabhat Orphanage.
