Assam Sattra Mahasabha Delhi (ASMD) extends support to anti-CAA stir across State

MANGALDAI: The Assam Sattra Mahasabha Delhi (ASMD) is extremely concerned about the situation arising in Assam after the recent passing of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

The ASMD feels that various sections and stakeholders of the Assamese society should have been consulted and their views taken on board before such an Act was passed. “Assam is a very delicate society and such developments may cause irreparable and irreversible damage to the social fabric of the state. ASMD stands united with peaceful demonstration and protests of Assamese people in their demand to repeal this Act and hopes for an early resolution,” said secretary of Assam Sattra Mahasabha Delhi, Abhijeet Mahanta in a press release.
