Assam: SEBA Adjusts HSLC Exam Schedule for 2024 to Accommodate Official Holidays

GUWAHATI: In a recent development, the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) has announced significant adjustments to the dates and timings of specific papers in the upcoming High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Exam for the year 2024. This strategic modification comes in response to the list of holidays published by the Assam Government, reflecting SEBA's commitment to facilitating a seamless and equitable examination process for all participating students.

According to the latest notification issued by SEBA, the Social Science paper, originally slated for a different date, will now be conducted on 19th February 2024. Simultaneously, the General Science paper has been rescheduled to 27th February 2024, aligning with the board's efforts to synchronize the examination calendar with official holidays.

Furthermore, there are adjustments in the schedule for the Weaving and Textile Design Elective paper and the Bodo Elective paper. Both these papers are now scheduled for 27th February 2024, with the examination window set from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

The rationale behind these changes is to accommodate the shifts in the academic calendar necessitated by official holidays, demonstrating SEBA's responsiveness to the broader administrative framework. These modifications aim to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure that all students have an equal and fair opportunity to excel.

This proactive approach by SEBA reflects the board's commitment to adaptability and fairness, recognizing the importance of aligning the examination schedule with the academic and administrative dynamics. It also serves as a testament to the board's dedication to providing a conducive and supportive environment for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

Students, parents, and educators are encouraged to stay informed and updated on these revised dates to avoid any confusion and ensure optimal preparation. SEBA's timely adjustments not only showcase their commitment to a fair examination process but also highlight the collaborative effort between educational institutions and government authorities to create an environment conducive to academic success.

In conclusion, the rescheduling of certain HSLC exam papers by SEBA for the year 2024 underscores the significance of adaptability in the education system. These changes, made in consideration of official holidays, reinforce the commitment to fairness and equal opportunity for all students participating in the upcoming examinations.
