Kokrajhar: A  key review meeting on the upcoming Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Elections 2025 was held today at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kokrajhar.

The meeting was chaired by State Election Commissioner Ranjan Sarma, with Gitartha Baruah, Secretary of the Assam State Election Commission, and senior district and police officials in attendance.

Sarma reviewed the overall preparedness, focusing on logistics, security, and coordination between departments. He emphasised the need for free, fair, and peaceful elections, urging officials to work together to maintain law and order and ensure timely execution of tasks.

The BTC Elections 2025 are seen as a major political event in the region, and today’s meeting was a significant step toward ensuring smooth and transparent conduct of the polls.
