SIVASAGAR: District Commissioner of Sivasagar Aayush Garg recently conducted an on-site inspection of various segments of the four-lane construction project along National Highway 37, which passes through the district. The visit was aimed at reviewing the pace of the ongoing work and identifying any critical issues affecting project execution.
During the inspection, the District Commissioner closely assessed the progress of construction, which is currently reported to be 40%–50% complete. He also visited areas where obstructions have hindered progress, examining the steps being taken to remove bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of the highway.
Officials accompanying the DC indicated that the project is moving forward smoothly and is likely to be completed within the stipulated timeline, provided current progress continues.
The inspection team included Additional District Commissioner (Revenue) Partha Pratim Khanikar, Devendra Kumar, General Manager of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), circle officers of Sivasagar and Amguri and the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (National Highways).
