Assam: Social and cultural worker Boluram Chutia honoured with Samaj Saurav Award

Renowned social worker and cultural activist Boluram Chutia, a resident of Banmukh Dehingia village in Sivasagar, has been conferred with the prestigious "Samaj Saurav" award.

SIVASAGAR: Renowned social worker and cultural activist Boluram Chutia, a resident of Banmukh Dehingia village in Sivasagar, has been conferred with the prestigious "Samaj Saurav" award.

The award was presented during the All Assam Bhaona Competition held at Manikanchan Kshetra in Pokamura from March 23 to March 30. The event was organized by the people of Kathalkumar and Gurjugoniya villages in Jorhat district.

Born in 1957, Boluram Chutia, despite serving outside Assam, has made remarkable contributions to the state's social and cultural landscape. Currently serving as a senior official in the Education Department of Arunachal Pradesh, Chutia was also honoured with the "Karmajyoti" award in 2024.

The people of Dhaiali Kinar have expressed immense pride and joy over Chutia being recognized with the "Samaj Saurav" honour.
